I ate the beer and food. But the price of the food was expensive compared to the quality and the service was not as good as expected.

All very good. Great chicken soup. Rich and tasty typical German dish. Apple pie with cream and fresh and appetizing cream. Typical German environment. Clean. Prices aligned. Nina who served me kind and understanding (I don't speak German). They also have an English menu.

I've never written a Google review, but I've never been served so unfriendly in my life. I was there with 3 foreign friends who don't speak German. The waitress didn't let me order for her without commenting on it.

Anyone who is not so familiar with the Rhenish drinking culture will get an interesting impression here. Drinking hall in the front, cozy dining room in the back with a hearty menu. We were satisfied, but the constant asking of the waitress if you want to have a beer will get a little annoying over time. Overall friendly service and delicious food ... recommended!

Typical German food with very good local beer. I recommend ordering the sampler dish that includes a bit of everything, ask why it is not easy to read the menu. The knuckle is very tasty !!!

Serving typical German dishes and fresh beer! It’s better to ask someone who can speak German for making the reservation (not sure if it’s really acceptable in anytime). Anyway we enjoyed a lot at this restaurant.

Very not nice service. I could not pay the card for 15 euros because the minimum is 50 euros. Food is okay but service can be improve.

German eatery where everything is just German. The furniture is wooden, the service fast (you have to like that) and t food is just food. Do not expect culinary delights, but a large plate filled with German solidity. If you don't like beer you can experience the service as overwhelming (the next beer is on the table faster than the food☺).

Unfriendly is not more ... and from the mouth of a North German ^^ fun aside ... in this inn, it's all about as fast as possible to generate a lot of revenue. Friendliness and good quality of the food are unfortunately on the track! Too bad, because the location is pretty nice.

Excellent beer and top meat. We tried the mixed grill with shin, sausages, wüstel and roast ham accompanied by sauerkraut and baked potatoes + a vegetable soup. Excellent quality and courtesy.

The beer was great, but our food mediocre.

Atmospheric place, friendly waiters, but the food is so-so. I ordered blood sausage. It is served with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. In my opinion, both in the canteen, but the portions are large. This costs 10 euros. The famous alt was not impressed. But this is an amateur.

Excellent service and food/beer! It was my farewell party and we had a table of 20, I could not have been happier with the experience from making the reservation to settling the bill at the end. The other Altbier breweries in Düsseldorf should take note!

Absolutely amazing service, food AND atmosphere!!! My friends and I enjoyed a scrumptious dinner of baked pork knuckles, sausage platter, vermison goulash and marinated trout accompanied by a generous portion of sauerkraut and mash!!!! Schumacher Alt Beer is not to be missed here!!! ???

Very large beer hall at the edge of the Spanish quarter. Absolutely mobbed in the evening.

Restaurant that is lively and very enjoyable. The cooking volume is amazing anyhow. Japanese people came out more than we could eat. Still delicious! It was difficult because it was hard to understand the toilet ;;
